Gravity filler

The new generation of gravity fillers are designed to fill liquid products into rigid containers, such as glass jars and aluminium or in plate cans.
The containers which has to be filled can already contain product, such as: fruit, peeled tomatoes, tuna fish, meat and vegetables, etc.

Function of the machine
The table top chain conveyor, transports the containers to the infeed screw, which has a variable pitch, thus consenting the synchronisation and the infeeding of the containers into the infeed starwheel, which then transfers the containers to the filler. At the beginning of the filling area the container is lifted by the can lifting plate, which brings the container into contact with the filling valve. Another slight elevation of the container then brings it into contact with a valve which opens and permits the flotation of the product into the container.
When filling has been effected, the descending of the container automatically permits a spring to put the valve into the closing position. When the descending of the containers has terminated, they are taken from the filler to the seamer or the capper

 


High strength and reliability

  • St. st. base containing all drive gears and roller lifting mechanism, which are submerged in an oil bath.
  • Lifters in AISI 304 st.st. and rollers made in 440C tempered steel.
  • Filling valves in st. st. and sanitary material, have been constructed according to the different characteristics of the product to be filled.
  • Container infeed conveyor of slat band chain type with synchronization screw and container entrance starwheel in non-toxic low-wear PVC material.
  • Heavy gauge all st.st. liquid holding bowl.
  • Liquid level control inside the tank.
  • AISI 316 st. st. heating coil positioned inside the tank and automatically controlled by a thermo regulator.
  • Seamer drive attachment for synchronisation.
  • St. st. electric panel board with IP55 protection.
  • Control of the machines functions by PLC.
  • Protections according to E.E.C. laws.
  • All the machines are constructed according to the U.S.D.A. laws.

Hygiene
All the product contacting parts are constructed in st. st. sanitary material. All parts of the machine are easily accessible in order to effect the quick and easy cleaning of the machine.
