Zacmi constructs and supplies tomato processing plants which includes
the following major processing groups.
Discharge, washing and inspection of fresh tomatoes.
Special hydraulic channels receive the bulk product in cases or bins from
whatever means of transport.
Water filtering and recycling systems move the tomatoes in channels and/or
stocking pools.
Various washing showers provide an effective product wash before sorting
and inspection.
Enzymatic inactivation of the tomato juice.
There are two technologies, cold or hot break, and the Zacmi system allows
the production of both products with a specially designed enzymatic inactivation
plant.
Thermal peeling of fresh tomatoes.
This is achieved by means of heating by steam and/or heated water of the
tomato surface with successive cooling by means of vacuum and peel removal
with special peel separating roller conveyors.
Dicing of peeled tomatoes.
Special rotating blades dice the peeled tomatoes and a vibrating plane
separates the dices from the juice and seeds.
Juice extraction, for the production of tomato concentrate.
The Zacmi extractor is the latest in a new generation of machines. It
achieves extraction of the juice with only one machine, thus reducing
the installed power and maintenance requirements.
Tomato juice concentration.
Thermal, multi-effect evaporators carry out this operation by means of
ascending circulation, which allows the non-stop production of concentrate
and high viscosity products for a number of weeks without significant
efficiency losses.
Aseptic filling and sterilisation of the concentrate and diced tomato.
Aseptic sterilizers of the tube-in-tube system, specially designed by
the research and development department.
Zacmi is able to supply sterilisation and aseptic cooling system for tomato
concentrate, the same as those for the diced tomato up to the first preserving
liquid. Aseptic fillers with single and/or double head "bag-in-box"
allow the aseptic filling of the sterile product in presterilised flexible
bags which can be various sizes (up to 300 US gallons) with different
diameter gates specially designed for two phase products.
Closing and filling of the by-products in rigid containers.
Zacmi offers a vast range of piston, telescopic and vacuum fillers for
metallic cans, jars and glass bottles.
Zacmi manufactures high speed filling lines with capacities in excess
of 1000 c.p.m.
Automation of the processing.
All the machines and complete installations operate automatically, thereby
guaranteeing the constant quality of the final product while assuring
the correct function of the machines and limiting the possibility of human
error.
The automation can be a traditional type such as PLC computer control.
CIP washing system for the processing machines.
This is capable of cleaning and sterilising automatically or manually
all the product contact parts.
Construction materials.
All product contact parts are in AISI 304-316 stainless steel or in food
grade material which can be cleaned and sterilised and which are compatible
with the processing operation.
High quality end products.
Thanks to the devices and technical innovations used by Zacmi in the construction
of the processing lines, the quality of the finished products is guaranteed
to conform with the highest of international standards.
